If you are taking lessons on good school horses at a quality riding stable then the horses will be obedient and listen to you and your riding aids.  They will do as you ask if you ask and ride correctly.

If there is a problem then your instructor will be pretty certain that is you the rider and can then look for the weakness or problem and correct it.

The first benefit of taking lessons on a school horse with a good instructor.

A good school horse will do as they are asked and listen to their rider.  With this you will be able to concentrate on what your instructor is asking of you and the basics of learning to ride.

You can concentrate on your balance and position.  You can focus on keeping your hands soft, your heels down and secure and looking forward without worrying too much on what your horse is doing.

This also allows you to relax more, for your instructor to concentrate on you and you don’t have to worry about bad habits forming from a resistant horse.
